The numbers are not the whole report

You can have the evaluation results ready and still face a writing task. The report needs to connect the reason for referral, findings, your interpretation, and what was discussed next. That account may be clear in your mind without existing as polished paragraphs.

Dictation plus AI drafting can help at that point. You supply the explanation; the software turns it into a first draft in the speech-language evaluation format. This is more useful for report writing than simply turning a list of scores into typed text.

Turn the explanation into a report passage

The following fictional recap includes the clinician's interpretation and agreed plan:

"The referral was because he finds it hard to follow discussion in team meetings. He says he loses the thread when several people speak quickly. During the evaluation, he asked for repetition on the longer spoken instructions and completed the shorter instructions without repetition. My interpretation is that longer spoken information was harder for him in these tasks. We discussed written meeting points as a support and agreed to try them. He would like to contribute without asking colleagues to repeat so often."

An illustrative report passage could read:

"The referral concerns difficulty following discussion in team meetings, particularly when several people speak quickly. The client would like to contribute with less need for repetition. During the evaluation, he requested repetition for longer spoken instructions and completed shorter instructions without repetition. The clinician interprets the task findings as showing greater difficulty with longer spoken information. Written meeting points were discussed and agreed for trial."

The passage connects the everyday concern with the findings and the clinician's interpretation. All of those links were supplied in the recap. The draft's contribution is the writing, rather than a new conclusion about the evaluation.

Choose report drafting for the job that remains

Astralcyte includes a speech-language evaluation format as well as interval progress report and episode discharge summary formats. You can use your summary to start the report you need at that point in care.

For a report covering history, include that history in the recap you want drafted. The app works from that recording, so you can use it for report writing while your test records and earlier visits remain in your existing system.

Get the draft without sharing the evaluation

Edit the report in the app and copy it into the patient record. The recording, transcript, and report stay in encrypted storage on your device. They are not uploaded to Astralcyte, as described in its privacy policy.
