Contractors hold more than you think
In October 2026, Paradigm Healthcare Services, a billing contractor for California's Medi-Cal program, disclosed a breach affecting 970,403 people. The exposed data included names, dates of birth and Medi-Cal member numbers. The intrusion happened a year earlier.
The people affected never chose that contractor. Clients rarely choose the vendors behind the services they use either.
