The report needs connections, not just a list

An OT evaluation can involve the person's account, performance during a task, the environment, and what they want to do independently. Your working notes may hold all of that. The report still needs sentences that connect it.

Ordinary dictation types what you say. If you speak findings in the order you recall them, AI drafting can help with the next step: bringing the related details together and writing the report from them.

A kitchen task, a home setup, and a priority

Here is a fictional recap with the therapist's observations, interpretation, and agreed plan already included:

"She wants to prepare her own breakfast. At home the cups are in a high cupboard. During the kitchen task she asked for help reaching a cup. She managed the other breakfast items on the worktop. We tried putting the cup on a lower shelf, and she completed that part without help. My assessment is that access to the cup is a barrier in this task. She agreed to try the lower shelf arrangement at home and discuss how it works at the next visit."

An illustrative report passage could read:

"The person's priority is to prepare breakfast independently. During the kitchen task, she managed items on the worktop but asked for help retrieving a cup from a high cupboard. With the cup on a lower shelf, she completed that part of the task without help. The therapist identifies cup access as a barrier and records agreement to try the lower shelf arrangement at home, with discussion at the next visit."

The point is the change in the writing. The priority leads into the observed task, the adaptation tried, and the agreed next step. Each came from the therapist's account.

Draft from the assessment you have already done

Astralcyte includes an occupational therapy evaluation format. You can dictate after the assessment, using the findings you want in the report. The app makes a transcript and then a draft that you can edit and copy into the patient record.

You do not have to turn the whole appointment into a recording when your main need is help writing afterward.

Keep the home details on your device

A report can include intimate details of the person's home and daily life. Astralcyte keeps the recording, transcript, and report in encrypted storage on your device. The company does not receive them, as its privacy policy explains.
