The household story is larger than the note

Daily activities rarely sit apart from the people and arrangements around them. A conversation about bathing, preparing food, or getting out of the house can include who helps, when they are available, and how the person feels about needing them.

Those details can make the discussion useful while only a small part belongs in the OT note. If a cloud scribe drafts from the conversation, the company receives the household story before it makes that selection.

Selection protects the chart, not the earlier upload

In a fictional appointment, a person explains that a family member helps prepare meals but is no longer available each evening. The discussion includes the relative's work pattern, disagreements about help, and the person's wish for more independence. The therapist and person agree which practical arrangement to try.

The final entry may need the functional difficulty, the support available, and the agreed plan. It may not need the relative's employer or the details of the disagreement. Leaving those out makes the note more focused. It does not change what a cloud scribe has already received from the recording.

With local drafting, the wider conversation can become the shorter note on your own device. The AI company never gets either version.

Keep the useful part of AI drafting

Astralcyte can work from a recorded appointment or your dictated summary. SOAP is available for session notes, and an occupational therapy evaluation format is available for reports. Edit the draft in the app, then copy it into your patient record.

You retain the assistance with writing and arrangement. You can speak a summary rather than type the finished document, or use the recorded conversation as the starting point.

Privacy includes the words you leave out

The privacy policy covers session audio, transcripts, and notes. Astralcyte does not receive them. They stay in encrypted storage on your device.

The company cannot disclose the person's household conversation from servers that never hold it. That is a different protection from simply omitting details in the final note.
