Which part of writing takes the work?

There are two different jobs hidden in "write the note." One is getting words onto the screen. The other is arranging the consultation into the format the record needs.

If you dictate a finished ADIME note, speech-to-text may do most of what you need. If you dictate a flowing summary, the transcript can still need another pass. An AI scribe is useful when it can turn that summary into ADIME rather than leave you with a paragraph to reorganize.

The difference is visible in the output

Consider a fictional dietitian recap:

"We will review the breakfast pattern at the next appointment. He reports missing breakfast on four workdays last week. I identified inconsistent meal timing as the nutrition concern today. We agreed to try preparing breakfast the night before. He said mornings feel rushed, and he wants something he can take with him."

Speech-to-text gives you that same sequence in writing. An illustrative ADIME arrangement could read:

SectionInformation from the recap
Nutrition assessmentReports missing breakfast on four workdays last week. Mornings feel rushed; wants a portable option.
Nutrition diagnosisDietitian identified inconsistent meal timing as today's nutrition concern.
Nutrition interventionAgreed to try preparing breakfast the night before.
Monitoring and evaluationReview breakfast pattern at the next appointment.

The table illustrates the arrangement, not a new nutrition assessment or diagnosis. Everything was supplied by the dietitian. The drafting benefit is that the follow-up no longer leads the note and the related assessment details are together.

Choose the format before the first draft

Astralcyte includes ADIME with Nutrition assessment, Nutrition diagnosis, Nutrition intervention, and combined Monitoring and evaluation. You can choose it before generating the draft, so the first version is organized for nutrition documentation.

That is a useful purchase distinction: help typing the summary versus help turning it into the document you need. You can still edit the wording before copying the note into the patient record.

Use AI without uploading the consultation

The recap, transcript, and draft stay in encrypted storage on your device. Astralcyte does not receive them, as described in the privacy policy. For a dietitian avoiding cloud uploads, local ADIME drafting offers both the note structure and confidentiality.
