The fitting conversation contains more than measurements
A hearing-aid fitting can move between verification results, the person's experience of the device, and situations they hope will become easier. Work conversations, family exchanges, and worries about managing the device can all come up.
A cloud scribe that writes from the appointment receives that discussion. The verification results in your fitting software are not the only patient information being shared with the scribe company.
What reaches the note can be much shorter
In a fictional fitting, the person describes missing remarks in meetings, asks whether colleagues will notice the device, and talks about a difficult exchange at home. The audiologist supplies the verification account, records the person's comfort report, and agrees the follow-up.
The fitting note may summarize the device and verification details, comfort, communication priorities, and next appointment. The personal discussion can be much longer than those lines. A cloud provider that processed the recording received the longer version even if it disappears from the draft.
Local drafting keeps the longer conversation and the shorter note on your device. You retain the useful reduction into a clinical document without giving the company the conversation first.
Keep fitting and evaluation drafts available
Astralcyte includes adult hearing-aid fitting and verification and adult audiologic evaluation formats. Choose the document for the appointment, record it or dictate a recap, then edit and copy the draft into your patient record alongside your test documents.
The fitting draft works from the information you supply, including the verification findings and your interpretation. It helps put that information and the patient's experience into the document rather than requiring a finished dictated note.
No company-held appointment recording
The privacy policy covers recordings, transcripts, and notes. They are not sent to Astralcyte and stay in encrypted storage on your device.
The company cannot leak the patient's fitting conversation from servers that never receive it. That covers the details left out of the final record too.
