The test results are ready. The report is not.
Once the tests are complete, the measurement record and the written evaluation are different documents. The report has to connect the person's hearing concern with your findings, interpretation, and what was discussed next.
You may already know that account without having it in finished sentences. Dictation gets the words onto the screen. AI drafting can also bring the related details together and write a coherent evaluation from your summary.
From a recap to an evaluation passage
Consider this fictional audiologist recap. The clinician supplies the interpretation and next steps:
"We discussed the results and agreed to return for a hearing-aid consultation. She says meetings are hardest when someone speaks from the far end of the room. She also struggles when several colleagues speak at once. My interpretation of today's evaluation is bilateral hearing loss. She wants to understand meetings more easily. I explained the findings and the options we could discuss at the next appointment."
An illustrative evaluation passage could read:
"The patient reports difficulty hearing in meetings, particularly speakers at the far end of the room or several colleagues speaking at once. Her priority is to understand meetings more easily. The audiologist interprets today's evaluation as showing bilateral hearing loss. The findings and available options were discussed, and a hearing-aid consultation was agreed."
The draft brings the meeting difficulties together and places the clinician's interpretation before the agreed next appointment. A complete report can also include the relevant measures you dictate. The example shows the writing around the findings, not an AI interpretation of a test graph.
Keep the test record where you use it
Astralcyte includes an adult audiologic evaluation format. You can dictate after the appointment, using the test results and interpretation you want in the report. The app drafts from that account.
Edit the text and copy it into the patient record alongside the measurement documents. This helps with the report-writing step while leaving the testing work in your existing system.
Write the report without a clinical upload
The recording, transcript, and report stay in encrypted storage on your device. Astralcyte does not receive them, as its privacy policy explains.
You can get help writing the explanation after testing without giving an AI company the patient's hearing history.
