The final note is only part of what the scribe uses

If an online scribe already helps you finish notes, its value is familiar. The privacy decision concerns what it receives to produce those notes. A short final entry can come from a much longer conversation.

Imagine a fictional session about difficulty asking for a change at work. During the discussion, the client names a supervisor, describes a family dispute, and explains financial pressures. The clinician's final note mentions the work concern, the session's intervention, the response, and follow-up. It does not reproduce all the surrounding detail.

That shorter note limits what enters the patient record. It does not undo an upload of the longer conversation to the scribe.

What each service receives

The online column describes the content needed for those functions, not one universal storage schedule. A service may delete audio quickly while keeping a transcript. A no-training promise concerns use of the information; it does not mean the conversation was never received.

Keep the useful draft and the existing chart

Astralcyte provides the transcript and a draft in DAP, BIRP, GIRP, SOAP, narrative, or another chosen format. You edit on your device and copy the note into your current record. A hosted EHR can remain the destination.

The privacy policy explains why the company has no copy of the session through this process. The recording and text stay in encrypted storage. The details omitted from the final note therefore stay out of the software company's hands too.

You are changing where the note is written, rather than choosing to do the writing yourself again. The company cannot leak a therapy conversation from servers that never receive it.
