An audio-deletion promise concerns one copy

If your online scribe removes the recording after transcription, that may be a useful storage limit. It does not tell you what happens to the transcript used to write the note.

The distinction is especially meaningful for a psychiatric visit. A compact follow-up note can come from a discussion containing personal history, family information, and concerns that never appear in that final paragraph. The transcript can preserve those details after the audio is gone.

Follow the conversation, not only the file called a recording

Imagine a fictional visit in which a patient discusses sleep, medication-taking, and a family dispute. The approved note includes the sleep report and follow-up, but not the family exchange.

CopyWhat it can containWhat deleting another copy does not tell you
AudioThe recorded voices and full discussionWhether a transcript was made and kept
TranscriptThe written discussion, including details omitted from the noteWhether the final note includes or excludes those details
Draft or approved noteThe selected clinical accountWhether the longer source conversation remains elsewhere

For an online service you already use, its terms should answer the storage question for each copy. Deleting audio, not training on data, and never receiving the conversation are different promises.

Keep the drafting convenience without uploading either source copy

Astralcyte transcribes and drafts on your device in SOAP and other formats. The privacy policy explains that the company never receives the recording, transcript, or draft through the app. It cannot leak any of them from servers that never receive them.

Audio is temporary in the local app; the transcript stays encrypted by default, with separate choices after note approval. The encrypted storage policy explains that audio design. The relevant improvement is that local source text is not another company's retained copy.

You can edit the draft and copy the note into your existing chart. The chart receives the account you file, while the scribe company receives none of the fuller psychiatric discussion.
